Thanks to all of the reports of a broken link to NASA headquarters, the Better Web App Development movie is back. A manager at Jet Propulsion Laboratory asked if I could edit out the copyright notice at the front and put the video back to its original location.

you should read the conclusion? i guess plone is not the best tool for bloging if you are a plone rookie (still there are plenty nice product two change it to bloging portal), and have no time to invest into learning plone.
i like this santance "If enough time and energy is invested into the Zope/Plone installation you will be left with a very well put together system that can meet the most demanding requirements." ... must say i can only agree with him.
Look at the date
Also I'd suggest you look at the date the article was published. It's from 2004. (Another article of the author references having to write text in a specialized markup language. There's a possibility to write text using WYSIWYG now...)

Should be mandatory viewing for IT executives
I know of many people who are drunk on J2EE Kool Aid. This movie goes a long way towards sobering them up.
At the same time, I know of many people in senior management who are frustrated with IT. The root cause of that frustration can be traced directly to the J2EE facts of life that Sean explains in easily understood terms. The video would be more broadly distributed if it were available in codecs used by the MS-centric world. The sickest patients are those least able to take the medicine. People who have Macs (or whose IT departments allow them to install Quicktime) are by definition not as sick and therefore less in need of treatment. I could transcode it to AVI but it would be lossy. So far, my attempts have been a poor imitation of the original. Uploading to Youtube is another option worth considering.
Given the frustration we face with J2EE, Sean's video can prevent as much stress and anxiety as a boatload of Zoloft. "Talk to your IT professional to see if Plone is right for you. If they seem clueless, seek a second opinion."

Your post basically got me convinced that J2EE was NEVER going to be good enough. There is this fear of enterprise stability....that is all that keeps us going... Other than than, J2EE Offers NOTHING .... everything sucks and is kludgy through and through. Not to mention different and non optimal implementations of the same standards.... !!!!
