I had the enormous good fortune to have had Matt McMillin and his family as neighbors, just one house away. Matt helped found the Big Bowl restaurant concept and served as an executive vice president and concept chef. Brinker bought the concept and moved the McMillins to Dallas where they became some of our dearest friends. Sadly, Brinker since gave up on the concept and sold it back to Lettuce Entertain You, and the McMillins will be returning to Chicago to keep Big Bowl alive and well. This is the menu of the farewell dinner I made.
